Creating a Virtual Collection (Key steps to include in this project during COVID-19)

Hello to all! As a student currently diving into the Museum world, I am spending a lot of time thinking about ways to engage a small community in Museum content - specifically during COVID-19. As so many of our programs, services and events have had to go online, I wanted to see if anyone has any tips or suggestions of what steps to include in a project aimed at creating a virtual collection and database during COVID-19? For example, a co-worker of mine mentioned that developing an outreach initiative / survey would be a great idea to understand what will make them want to engage with our content? Someone else mentioned hiring a website consultant to make sure our database is accessible and appealing to the public eye! Any other suggestions for key steps in this project? Hi Emily, You can create a toolkit filled with different ideas and resources that are related to various themes and topics. Another way, to think of it as a Tinker Tank and through, that process see what does the public capture and their interest. Also, can collaborate and partner with other museum organizations virtually. Ankita
