Join Public Services Health and Safety Association (PSHSA) Health and Safety Consultants Rob Oliver and Janice Gallant for a webinar about how to reopen museums safely in your roles as both workplaces and public attractions.
The goal of this webinar is to provide information that supports a healthy, safe and successful re-opening of museums. The one hour webinar will:
  • Overview the Provincial Step 3 Reopening Requirements for Museums.
  • Identify protective strategies, measures and resources to support a health and safe reopening for you and your visitors. 
  • Provide the opportunity to discuss key questions related to the application of the requirements in a museum setting.

Janice Gallant, RN, CRSP, CHSC, COHN(C)

Public Services Health and safety Association
Janice is a Registered Nurse and Certified Registered Safety Professional with over 30 years of experience.  She holds a certificate in Health and Safety from Ryerson University, as well as a certificate in Occupational Health Nursing. She has worked as an Occupational Health Nurse, Health and Safety Manager, and as a Health and Safety Consultant in a variety of public and private organizations.  Janice is an Education & Culture Sector Health and Safety Consultant at Public Services Health and Safety Association.  In her role she has used her expertise and experience to provide consulting and training over the last 20 years to schoolboard, colleges, universities, museums, art centres, and libraries.  She recently worked on a project to prepare Ontario Covid-19 Sector Specific Guidance documents for the Education Sector.  She has also assisted various clients in completion of their Covid-19 risk assessments and development of safety plans. 
 
Rob Oliver, HBSc, MHSc, CRSP

Rob has been a health and safety professional in Ontario for over 25 years, primarily working in the government and education sectors. He currently works as a Health and Safety Field Consultant with the Public Services Health and Safety Association, serving education, museum and library sector clients in central and eastern Ontario.
Rob completed an honour’s science degree in kinesiology with a specialty in ergonomics and occupational biomechanics as well as a master’s degree in occupational hygiene. This educational foundation combined with years of safety experience, has allowed him to successfully collaborate with employers and workers, address complex safety issues, while ensuring worker safety and legislative compliance.
During the COVID pandemic, Rob has been primarily working with various provincial ministries to assist them with their preparations for returning to in-person service. This work has involved conducting COVID risk assessments at courthouses, MLTSD examination centres and Legal Aid Ontario offices throughout the province, as well as assisting with the preparation of provincial health and safety guidance documents for the education sector.
