Session Description: Living Memories is a group conversational program using art and historical artifacts to stimulate conversation. It creates opportunities to share memories and form new ones. It is designed for all seniors including seniors with challenges such as memory difficulties, dementia, developmental challenges, loneliness and social isolation. It provides a safe environment to socialize and share conversation. Learn how this type of program can work in your museum and participate in a sample session. |

With a firm belief that museums are NOT boring and should be accessible to all, she is leading the way for the Meaford Museum to be an essential part of the community. Her extensive community programming background is being used to engage and excite groups. She is always looking for new ways to reach out to areas in the community that are not being serviced properly and that can benefit from the collection. All of this is while also managing the small municipal museum, and it’s collection. |

Starting out as a volunteer to contribute to her new community, she eventually realized museums were her passion. Four years later she is now an assistant at the museum building exhibits, developing relevant community programming, collection processing and more. |
