BYTOWN MUSEUM

Housed in Ottawa’s oldest stone building, the BYTOWN MUSEUM traces the history of Ottawa's early years from the construction of the Rideau Canada through the rough and tumble days of Bytown, to the city's emergence as Canada's capital and beyond.  In 2017, we will be celebrating the Museum's 100th anniversary as well as the 150th celebration of Canadian Confederation.  Join us throughout the seasons for family events, new exhibitions, daily programming and guided tours at one of the most picturesque locations in the city.  The perfect place to begin your visit to the Nation's Capital - the Ottawa story begins here!
