Heritage House Museum

This classically styled Victorian home on the lower level depicts the lifestyle of a prominent mill owner's family living in Smiths Falls in the 1860s. Situated on a picturesque portion of the Rideau Canal, the Museum features seven furnished period rooms, unique mirror image facade, special exhibit galleries featuring the histories of Smiths Falls and celebrating local artists, a two-storey privy, spacious gardens and picnic area. Special events, educational programming and exhibitions take place throughout the year. Guided group tours by can be pre-arranged for the outside museum grounds, including Old Slys Rapids and lockstation, by appointment.
