Mandela Talks Series - Apartheid in South Africa - A Lecture with Professor Christopher Taylor

Join Professor Christopher Taylor at the Ken Seiling Waterloo Region Museum on March 7 as he discusses the topics of Racism and apartheid in South Africa. After the talk explore our newest exhibit Mandela: Struggle for Freedom. This exhibit allows you to witness Mandela's lifelong fight against apartheid, a system of white supremacy in South Africa. Follow Mandela into hiding after he is declared an outlaw, and join him inside a replica of the tiny cell that was his home.

Christopher Stuart Taylor completed his PhD at Western University (Canada) in History and Migration and Ethnic Relations (MER) and currently teaches at the University of Waterloo in the Department of History and the Arts First program. Christopher also works in the Ontario Public Service (OPS) and began his career as a Policy Coordinator Intern in the Deputy Minister's Office at the Ministry of Labour. He was the Diversity and Inclusion Coordinator in the Ministry of the Attorney General's Diversity, Inclusion and Accessibility Office; a Senior Policy Advisor at Ontario's Anti-Racism Directorate; and Manager of Social Justice and Change Cluster at the Ontario Correctional Services College.
