Petawawa Heritage Society/Village

The Petawawa Heritage Society,  Celebrates 20th Anniversary.  Incorporated entity with charitable donation status and has been in operation for 14 years.  The mandate for the Society includes collecting, and preserving materials pertaining to the history of Town of Petawawa. This is achieved through the Petawawa Heritage Village which is Situated on 3.5 picturesque acres in the heart of the of Petawawa where history is alive and ready for your visit.  Stroll the pathways of the past and experience life in Petawawa as it once was from 1850 to 1910.  The Petawawa Heritage Village provides an opportunity to visit 9 historical and replica buildings from the 19th and early 20th century.  Aboriginal Hunting Camp and an outdoor Quebec Oven.  You will also find volunteers interpreting the history of the area through historical interpretive programming, education & publications.
