The Craigleith Railway Station

The iconic turret of this building has sheltered travelers since the 1880’s and it is the largest artifact at the Craigleith Heritage Depot.  Sandford Fleming was involved in bringing the railway and his family to this area.  Sanford bought the property for his father and laid out the railway from Collingwood to Meaford.  This winter photo (lower-left) reminds us of the ski train that brought the world to Blue Mountains for the start and end of a day on the slopes.  Visitors from near and far continue to come and go from this building as they discover the stories from the Town of The Blue Mountains.
