$300 Million for Canada Cultural Spaces Fund

In an announcement at Toronto’s Evergreen Brick Works, the Honourable Pablo Rodriguez, Minister of Canadian Heritage and Multiculturalism, reconfirmed Canada's commitment to culture and communities. The Canadian government allocated $300 million to the Canada Cultural Spaces Fund in the 2018 Budget, as part of the government’s support of culture’s role in building stronger, inclusive, and economically-sustainable communities.

Minister Rodriguez also announced $6.5 million in funding to redevelop the site’s Kiln Building into a sustainable venue for cultural programming. The Brick Works site in Toronto’s Don Valley is a converted Victorian-era industrial park.
