Friday, November 4 - 2:45m to 4:00pm
Amy Barron, Interim Curator, Scugog Shores Museum; Matthew Bates, Director, Mystus Exhibits
Learn how the Scugog Shores Museums partnered with the Mississaugas of Scugog Island First Nations and Mystus Exhibits to create a phenomenal permanent exhibit on a budget within the grasp of most small museums. Funding from the local Mississaugas' casino and a MAP grant made it possible for an otherwise small museum to create an exhibit with touch drawers, interactive components, video and audio stations, dioramas and specially built exhibit cases. This presentation will be highly visual, with the discussion accompanied by PowerPoint slides, and some of the elements of the exhibit.
