Celebrating 10 years at the OMA Mary Collier Professional Development Program Manager
Mary Collier, the OMA’s dedicated and welcoming Professional Development Program Manager, recently celebrated her 10-year anniversary at the OMA!
Mary leads the ongoing development of the OMA’s Certificate in Museum Studies Program, Awards of Excellence, OMA Annual Conference, and important initiatives like the Indigenous Collections Symposium, helping the sector build our knowledge and achieve more for our communities.
You might recognise Mary’s warm smile from OMA learning events, courses, OMA Conferences, Symposia, or many of the OMA’s past webinars, as she deftly manages OMA initiatives and keeps everything running smoothly. This past year, Mary shifted the OMA’s PD to online delivery and developed webinars, resources, and communications to assist museums as they shifted too.
Mary came to the OMA in 2011 after working with our colleagues at the Alberta Museums Association in several roles. Mary is also a graduate of Brock University, Sir Sandford Fleming College, and the University of Guelph. She and her husband Michael live in Hamilton with their son Max and dog Kong.
We are grateful to have Mary on the OMA team.
Thank you for all you do, Mary!
