The Ministry of Tourism, Culture and Sport (MTCS) released Telling Ontario’s Stories in the 21st Century : A Discussion Paper for Community Museums and Heritage Organizations, to consult with all museums on the Ontario Culture Strategy and its recommendation to “review and update provincial funding programs for community museums and heritage organizations to build capacity, strengthen leadership and support more diverse organizations”.
The ministry is inviting responses to the paper, to culture@ontario.ca by midnight, March 20th, 2018. Following which, MTCS will analyze and consider feedback and will publish a summary report of the comments this spring.

You do not need to answer all the questions. Please respond to the ones you feel are most important for your organization; highlighting your museum's needs and the support that will help create opportunities to serve your community.
The OMA Council will be meeting with Minister Vernile and Ministry Staff to further engage in the development of the renewed funding model for Ontario Museums, as identified in Ontario's Museums 2025: Strategic Vision and Action Plan.
