From recent communications with MAP, the OMA wants members to be aware:
  • Museums DO NOT have to be open currently
  • No project is required, MAP is the vehicle for this federal support program
  • The straightforward application takes 10-15 minutes to complete, with financial statements at hand
Many museums have applied and already received their funding; this is a key opportunity for museums to state their need for support during COVID-19.
Deadline: September 11, 2020

Information on the MAP Emergency Support Fund:

The Museums Assistance Program (MAP) - COVID-19 Emergency Support Fund for Heritage Organizations provides financial assistance to organizations in order to allow them to continue to care for their heritage collections under these exceptional circumstances so that they remain accessible to Canadians.
