OMA Council Nominations 2022-2023

The Nominations Committee, composed of Chair, OMA Secretary, Michael Rikley-Lancaster (Mississippi Valley Textile Museum), OMA Vice-President, Cheryl Blackman (Toronto History Museums, City of Toronto) and the three members elected by the membership at the 2021 Annual General Meeting, Erin Dee-Richard (Oil Museum of Canada), Kaitlyn Dubeau (Timmins Museum - NEC), and Kathryn Jamieson (Perth Museum), is pleased to bring forward the following slate of Council nominations for election by the membership at the 2022 Annual General Meeting, Friday, October 28 on an online meeting platform.

The responsibility to select candidates best suited to lead the Association requires thoughtful planning and attention to skills and areas of expertise currently required by the Association for its Strategic Plan implementation; therefore, the OMA adheres to the practice of not accepting nominations from the floor at the Annual General Meeting. The responsibility for Nominations to Council rests with the Nominations Committee.

  • MICHAEL RIKLEY-LANCASTER, SECRETARY (Second Year of a Second Two-Year Term)

Due to the passing of Paul Robertson, Past President of the Ontario Museum Association, the position will remain vacant.

As an organization of provincial scope, the Ontario Museum Association recognizes that its members and community live and work on the lands and territories of Indigenous peoples. Toronto, where the OMA offices are located, is the territory of the Mississaugas of the Credit, Haudenosaunee and the Huron Wendat. We wish to express our gratitude for the resources we are using and pay respect to the rich and ongoing Indigenous history of what is now Ontario and Canada.
