Read the full Pre-Budget Submission HERE

Members can support these recommendations in two ways:
1. By February 8, submit a comment online HERE.
You can copy and paste the following statement showing your support:  (79 words)

"I support the Ontario Museum Association’s recommendations for public investment, based on these four funding priorities: Digital Access & Engagement; Workforce Development; Investment in annual funding for community museums and reduction in red tape; and a centralized museum services organization.  Museums, galleries, and heritage sites help make Ontario communities distinct and vibrant places to live, work, visit, and invest. These recommendations for investment will empower museums to help Ontario reach its potential—for tourism, economic development, employment, and education."(Please add your own information as well)

This statement can also be used to engage local support of the OMA's budget submission in the coming weeks.

2.  Send an invitation to your local MPP to meet with them.
Download a template invitation HERE.
Find your MPP's contact information HERE.

Please copy the OMA (mlalonde@museumsontario.ca) on your communications with your MPP.

Heritage Week (February 18-24) presents an excellent opportunity to engage your local representatives and welcome them to your museum. The OMA will assist members in preparing for any meetings with their MPPs.

Please contact the OMA if you have any questions regarding the Ontario Budget process:
