Have you ever wondered about the science behind steam engines? Explore the inner workings of our 1859 Gartshore pumping engines, learn about the transformation that water undergoes inside of a steam engine, build and take home your own steam boat and experience an in-depth tour of the museum, complete with all the steamy details.

Each workshop in this innovative series focuses on a different subject in the fields of Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, and Math (S.T.E.A.M.). Workshops are staff-led and supervised; parents/caregivers are welcome to stay but are not required to do so.
