Mattawa Museum

Located in a red pine log building in Explorers Point Park, this community museum focuses on Mattawa District and the Mattawa and Ottawa Rivers. Artifacts from the local logging, mining, farming, trapping and transportation industries are on display. New Exhibits feature our First Nations and Metis ancestors. This 2022 Season features a Live History Exhibit with a 20 foot Birch Bark Canoe being built by one of our local Metis Elders.  Workshops will be announced on our website - subscribe to emails to get listings/times.
