Reflections: Fish Tugs of Port Dover, an Exhibit of Art by Donald Howell

Reflections: Fish Tugs of Port Dover, an Exhibit of Art by Donald Howell
Until May 30, 2020 (12:00 PM - 4:00 PM)

Port Dover's own Don Howell spent much of his childhood on the Lynn River at a time when fish tugs lined both banks. He fondly recalls when fish tug captains allowed him to join the crew for a day and shovel smelt into wooden crates. The history of each boat was always an area of interest for Don and inspired his art. Over the past 4 years Don has created over 50 acrylic paintings focused on the Port Dover Harbour and the boats that worked from there. Don lives in California, so this is a rare opportunity to see many of his paintings on exhibit in one space.
